Placing your first trade

Navigate to the Trade page and either pick a symbol from the Quick Symbols list or type a ticker in the search box. The embedded chart updates instantly.

Select your order type (Market, Limit, or Stop), enter your quantity or dollar amount, then click Place Order. You'll see a confirmation toast and the order will appear in your Orders tab.

For a market buy, all you need is quantity — the order fills at whatever the current price is. For a limit order, also enter your target price before submitting.
